Its 2019 and we are celebrating! 20 Years!

Its 2019 and this marks a very special milestone for Vision Safe, as we’ve now been open for business for 20 years.

Our industry is a challenging one at times, especially for SME’s (Small to Medium Enterprises) – so we are very proud of this achievement, to be able to say we are 20 years old in a highly competitive market.

First started in late 1998 by Dean Roberts, the company originally operated as a sole trader business from a home office in the spare room of the house. Within the first year an extra staff member was employed, Kimberley Roberts who is now the Vision Safe General Manager and looks after Newcastle Hats manufacturing operations. Moving into a purpose built shed in 2000 and later a purpose built warehouse in Mundaring in 2009, Vision Safe cemented its place as a reputable PPE supplier in the Australian market with a diverse range of products. Fast forward to 2019 and we have offices in 3 countries with 28 staff all around Australia and world, and operating out of multiple custom built premises – things certainly have changed.

Product range expansion and diversity has certainly increased over the years, starting off with just safety eyewear we now both import and manufacture a wide range of products from cylinder restraint systems (Bottlechock) to First Aid Equipment (First Aid Works) and authentic Aussie Made headwear (Newcastle Hats).

Among some of the main product lines, we have been proudly supplying safety products like Glove Guard Glove Clips, Safety Knives from The Safety Knife Co, Guardsman Gloves for workwear gloves, UVeto Australia supplying custom sun protection products including hats and more, Derma Guard barrier cream, and we represent ACOT500 Safety lighting for the mining, government and commercial sector. Not to mention the Newcastle Hats range of wide brimmed hats and the First Aid Works range of first aid kits!

There have been a lot of milestones along the way, and we would like to thank our loyal customers and supporters – both old and new. A business which has now expanded from Australia, into New Zealand, the United Kingdom and United States has allowed us to build lifelong friendships and relationships with suppliers, customers and trade partners.
