The Newcastle Hats collection by Vision Safe features a variety of stylish designs, including some great waterproof hats. This includes the Durack and Outback Hats, with a special mention to the latest addition: the sophisticated and extremely durable Isa Hat.

The Durack and Outback Hats are manufactured using high quality, soft finish oilskin to provide protection from the elements, whilst the Isa Hat is made from premium canvas which is water resistant for your protection in all types of weather.

Newcastle Hats strive to provide the best possible protection from the sun. Most of the fabrics used in the construction of our hats are UPF 50+ rated (with the obvious exception of the Breeze mesh), so whenever you see the UPF 50+ Excellent Protection Logo you can rest assured the product complies with the AS/NZS 4399:2017 Sun protective clothing – Evaluation and Classification*.
The Durack falls under this category, while the Outback and Isa hats are constructed with UPF 50+ rated fabrics but features a stylish medium size brim.

• As a style from the Walkabout Collection, the Durack Hat is handcrafted with feature gusset linings, soft internal elastic trims and a removable chinstrap
• Rugged design and waterproof fabric provides exceptional protection from the elements
• Manufactured from high quality, soft finish oilskin
• Black synthetic tape over a wire brim edging creates a curved 9cm brim that holds its own shape
• Top and brim lined with single sided cotton drill

• Manufactured in Australia from UPF 50+ rated oilskin, the Outback Hat is the perfect all weather hat
• Features a medium 7cm brim with brimlock edging
• Gusset and top lined for additional comfort
• Size options: S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL
• Available in Bottle Green (BG), Black (BK) and Brown (BR)
